D.C. Fire and EMS personnel rendered emergency medical aid before transporting both victims to a nearby hospital. Despite lifesaving efforts, Keyon Malik Maynor, of Northwest Washington, succumbed to his injuries. The second victim survived the shooting and was reported to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
