Romanian senator Diana Șoșoacă was reportedly taken to hospital following a traffic accident involving two vehicles on Iuliu Maniu Boulevard in Bucharest on Thursday, according to police reports and judicial sources.
The collision occurred at approximately 2:35 p.m. after authorities received an emergency call through the 112 service. Bucharest Traffic Police said the accident involved a vehicle driven by a 49-year-old man traveling from Lujerului Street toward Apusului Street, which collided with another vehicle ahead of it driven by a 23-year-old man.
Following the impact, a 50-year-old passenger required medical attention and was transported to hospital. Judicial sources identified the injured passenger as Diana Șoșoacă, who was reportedly traveling in one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
Police confirmed that both drivers were tested for alcohol and received negative results. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
