CONCORD, Mass. — The Concord community is mourning the loss of John Hamilton, 82, and Paula Hamilton, 85, who died following a two-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon in Concord, Massachusetts.
According to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, the fatal collision occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Walden Street, involving a Honda Accord and a Tesla Model 3. Concord police officers and firefighters responded quickly to the scene after receiving reports of the crash.
Authorities said four people were traveling inside the Tesla at the time of the collision. John Hamilton and Paula Hamilton, both of Concord, sustained critical injuries and were airlifted to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington for emergency treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, both later died from their injuries.
Three other individuals were also injured in the crash. Officials have not yet released details regarding the extent of their injuries or identified the occupants of the Honda Accord.
The circumstances leading to the collision remain under investigation. Investigators are working to determine what caused the crash, and no additional information has been released regarding possible contributing factors.
